plotless and inane...has nothing to offer except incessant gunfire, a jejune premise, and very threadbare melodrama...at least skyline, also Very Bad, had a modestly realistic ending...ciao.

It is predicable in some places, and it borrows some elements of previous alien/earth encounters. But, I think that it humanized the sci-fi genre, in the sense that there is peril, but also there are consequences to the peril. I have been a fan of Aaron Ekhart, so I am a little biased toward this film. I do like it!!
