Synopsis:
In "Clash of the Titans," the ultimate struggle for power pits men against kings and kings against gods. But the war between the gods themselves could destroy the world. Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus (Sam Worthington) is helpless to save his family from Hades (Ralph Fiennes), vengeful god of the underworld. With nothing left to lose, Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous mission to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus (Liam Neeson) and unleash hell on earth. Perseus sets off on a perilous journey deep into forbidden worlds, leading a daring band of warriors, including Draco (Mads Mikkelsen), an experienced soldier who encourages the defiant Perseus to make use of his god-given abilities. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, they will only survive if Perseus can accept his power as a god, defy his fate and create his own destiny.

I don't honestly know why this movie has received such high ratings because when I got out of the movie theaters I was highly disappointed. Sure, the graphics were excellently handled and the action was pretty cool, but the characters were not fleshed out enough for me to care about any of them before the story was finished. The acting was a little forced and the story was alright. I know this was based on the original, but the story was rushed. Honestly I could have passed on this movie, no problem.

This version misses some of the original battles and magic items that were used on the quest. If there is an extended version that fills in those blanks I would like to know.Worth watching if you know the original story, they did an excellent job.

Awesome special effects, great characters... and a story that makes very little sense.

This was watchable. The film looks great... the action scenes are fast paced and intense, the CGI creatures and Perseus riding Pegasus was really well done. Medusa was awesome! But I thought the casting (for the gods) was bad, the actor that played Perseus was bland at best, & the guy playing Hades made me laugh he was so bad. Hades accent and the way he talked was so forced... it even changes 1/2 way through the movie. Good film-making in the tradition of the original, along with some of it's cheesiness.
