Explain to me this. What is it about the third sequence of a movie trilogy that causes everything to go to absolute reduculous levels of horrible? The first X-Men had extreme potential; even the second film had the ability to open up so many doors of opportunity for film-makers to expand upon the classic saga that is X-Men. But yet again, we are let down by the lazy producers of today who had a diamond in the rough in their pocket and decided to exchange it for cheap beer at the local minute mart. Examples you say? How about the Matrix? We see this classic example of a concept so original and profound turn into nothing but glorified special effects. You want another? Terminator- the first two films? Amazing for their time. As of the third? I've said enough. How about three more terrible examples? Star Wars (yes, the new ones). Yes, there is the exception to the rule (Lord of the Rings) but these examples had less to work with. These examples had solid novels backing them up. It's like hooked on phonics for movie producers. If you mess up one of the greatest, most well drawn out plotlines, of the 20th century, find a new job. This movie was pathetically executed in every degree. Great actors, great background premise, and great opportunity... I am suprised the lead roles were able to execute each scene without vomiting based solely on the screenplay. Stan Lee allowed his name to be associated with this film? Bah! I could go on for years.

it's cool enough.but too brief, and underwritten.magneto's "army" could be blended in at a popcorn stand on any busy day.

The characters remain at their best, although the plot was a bit thin. There is much speculation that some of the dead characters may in the next sequel re-appear as this IS the movies. Be sure to watch the movie past the closing credits to catch a glimpse of what is next. Wolverine is HOT as usual. Mystque needs some rejuvenation, but I'm sure MAGNETO will handle that with the coming of the next one!!

This movie relies on its amazing visual effects to keep the audience watching. The plot by itself is relatively weak, although it's fun to watch what new characters have been written into the script. The film could have ended in about three different ways, but the one they chose left a lot of loose ends. Rent this movie before you buy it.
