This is my favorite movie in 2 years. And I see alot of movies, it is my favorite pass time. A+ Outstanding, on the edge of your seat action. Long but When it was over I still wanted more.

Top notch cinematography, modest presentation of a high quality film that one only hopes for in this time and era.Bravo Mr.Gibson where to next?

My fiance and I really enjoyed this movie and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a unique movie-watching experience. It's unique in that it is set during a time that is rarely reproduced in film and the story line is truly one of a kind without having to be futuristic, fantasy, or contain very obvious special effects. There were times when I covered my eyes (Mel Gibson's movies are always high on the carnage factor), but I was still anxious to see what happened next.Unlike I thought it would be for a 2+ hour movie, Apocalypto's story developed quickly but it was very well set-up; you are given a very clear view of the main charachters way of life so that you could be really in tune with and understand him. It's cool when you really want to "cheer" for a charachter!Without spoiling the movie, if you can deal with watching the dark side of human nature knowing good ALWAYS prevails, this is a MUST SEE (and more than one time, it's just that awesome)!Mel Gibson may have his personal issues, but there's no question about his ability to bring stories to life in a way that makes them unforgettable - his movies often heighten curiosities and inspire people to learn more about the past and history of the world, and I applaud him for that. One warning (we didn't mind this, though) - Apocalypto is in an old central american language...English is in captions.
