Synopsis:
Based on the critically-acclaimed novel by Jonathan Safran Foer, "Everything is Illuminated" tells the story of a young man's quest to find the woman who saved his grandfather in a small Ukrainian town that was wiped off the map by the Nazi invasion. Is very touching movie.I was not expecting to be that kind of a movie but I'm glad I saw it.One of the best independent films I have seen.Good story and sometimes it reminded me my trip to Poland.

A beautiful film about the intersection of personal and private history and the impact of horror's trauma on the individual. One wonders how good it could have been had Elijah Wood's character, Jonfen, been cast with a real actor rather than a prop.
