CRITIC REVIEWS
Lew Irwin
RATED 3 STARS

Also opening today is yet another gross-out comedy, The New Guy, which the Boston Globe reviewer described as the kind of movie studios once didn't bother to show to reviewers. Ann Hornaday in the Washington Post calls it a particularly loathsome piece of cultural detritus, a trashy, crass piece of work that panders to the anxieties and desires of adolescents without a scintilla of sympathy or coherence. And Michael Wilmington in the Chicago Tribune describes it as bad beyond belief and ridiculous beyond description.
