Pretty good. Not great. Very long. Probably too long. I fell asleep the first time I tried to watch it, but then again, it was pretty late. There are some violent scenes so if that kind of thing bothers you then this may not be the film for you. Definitely a good plot with plenty of twists and turns. All the actors were great.

THE BEST movie ive seen in a long time. the twists were great, story line was captivating, acting was convincing.very non-cliche.***SPOILER***if you are a person who grunts at predictable movies, you wont be doing so when watchin this movie.it veers away from american's "happy ending" movie trend. at the end of this movie, you'll know why it's called "departed"

Awesome. You shouldn't need a reason to want to watch this. Acting is great all around. Leo continues to poop on his Teen Beat / Titanic heart-throb image; he is a great actor. Mark Walhberg has a great role...seemed like every line he delivered was hilarious. I do have to say I was a little disappointed with Jack Nicholson. They should've got someone else to play the based-on-Bulger mobster. Alec Baldwin is pretty good too. So is Damon. Thank God Affleck wasn't in it.

This movie was excellent! Fast paced, good plot, heavy action. What more could anyone want?

Very good movie...I like the twists in the plot.***SPOILER*** Also not one of those typical movies where the hero wins in the end. Very good ending. I normally don't like Martin Scorcese, but I would recommend this one for sure

I think this movie just made my personal top 5 favorite movies of ALL time.I know, who am I, right? I'm just an average citizen, just like you.Just see it, immerse yourself in the characters, let yourself feel their emotions. This movie has the best of the best actors in Hollywood all rolled up into one flic.Sit back and be prepared to be told a story like you've never heard before and see these actors stretch to limits beyond what anyone of us could think possible.

probably the most realistic point this machiavellian vignette has to offer:...cops and thugs really ARE this difficult to distinguish in Boston, even with a scorecard...but not even god could stay this mad for this long.
