This is a seriously good film.It contained excellent drama and was a successful thrillerThe filmhas been underated. Ralph Fienes played an unusual role for him and was great in it. The only complaints about this movie should come from evil drug companies, evil governments, and bands of mirauders and killers.NOTE:I did need to adjust my sound in order to hear thne Brittish sounding actors but I always had trouble with hearing brittish talk. It seems so fast to me.

Just a fair movie, a little long. Fiennes and Rachel carry what there is of it. Barely made 3 stars due to this. Techically pro. Cinematographers love Africa, such a rich tapestry...Corporate bad guys...Ho Hum. Did not do LeCarre justice, there again so few can, his writing is so rich and personal. Is watchable.

i would have to agree with the evil western company taking advantage of poor Africans review of the movie...only if people would realize that Africans are actual individuals and not hoards of naive cattles, as depicted by the movie. Not to mention the super annoying wife trying to save the world

This is a really good movie. Whether you agree about how UN or UK are depicted in this movie, it is a well-made touching movie with great acting.

Rachel earns her statue and Fienes is a low key, compelling actor. The filming is almost too pretty, given the somber theme of high level corruption in the third world. The transition from love affair to Kenya is awkward and confusing.

Great story. It was somewhat long but worth it.
