Synopsis:

A neo-noir thriller in the tradition of Body Heat, China Basin is a classic murder mystery, about George Guest (Harrison) who is found murdered in China Basin, an estuary where illegal Chinese immigrants hid from authorities at the turn of the century. Until his untimely death, George was living a life in search of an audience for his music. His wife Allison (Starr) toys with men for amusement. She had enlisted Steve (Byrne) an upholstery shop owner with expensive tastes, to help her do away with her husband for a portion of the inheritance. Steve becomes a suspect with a motive and elicits help from his ex-wife Claire (Rossa), a washed-out cop. Claire travels to the netherworld of Los Angeles in search of the real killer, to save Steve, only to risk her life while finding out that all is not what it seems
