Synopsis:
Three women think they have found the perfect man.For New York heiress Patricia (JACI VELASQUEZ), he's a wild adventurer who offers her freedom from her mother's cloying ambitions. For Lorena (ROSELYN SANCHEZ) in Chicago, he's every bit as idealistic as she is, a lover of poetry and a man who recognizes the spark of passion beneath the buttoned-down lawyer's lapels. For Miami's fiery Cici (SOFIA VERGARA), he's the only man whose flames burn as bright as her own.Between beauty pageants, vicious gangsters, and a crowded Latin dance festival, the three women embark on a journey of friendship, resourcefulness, and self-discovery as they wait for Tomas to wake up and choose one of them. Though all three think Tomas is the prize, their true reward turns out to be a lot more than any of them ever expected.

CRITIC REVIEWS
Lew Irwin
Also opening today is Chasing Papi. Here's how Roger Ebert describes it in the Chicago Sun-Times: Chasing Papi is a feature-length jiggle show with Charlie's Angels transformed into Latina bimbos. Mike Clark in USA Today writes similarly: Imagine a movie so broadly conceived that it was written, directed and all parts were played by Charo -- billed in her '70s heyday of Love Boat gigs as the 'Cuchi-Cuchi Girl.' That's what you get here. And Elizabeth Weitzman in the New York Daily News observes: The credits on this film are genuinely impressive: Each of the talented actresses is already a popular Latina star, and the film was produced by Forest Whitaker, who directed Waiting to Exhale. No doubt he expected it to speak to an underrecognized audience in the way that one did. Instead, it just speaks down to them and the rest of us.
