Synopsis:
Get ready for supernatural chills and terrifying challenges in STAY ALIVE, the mind-bending thriller about a killer video game. I can't remember the name of the movie about these game designers who fall victim to the demon in the game. Like "Stay Alive," when they die in the game they die in real life. However, "Stay Alive" also takes its cues from movies like "feardotcom" (one of the few really scary movies), while throwing in paganism. With all the action, though, it disappoints at the crucial moment. Sure, the witch can't die for there to be a possibility of a "Stay Alive" 2, but the survivors don't even try to kill her, especially when they know what will disable her permanently (unlike movies where people hope to defeat evil, but then realize in serial movies like "Friday the 13th" that their tactics didn't work). Sure, the guy's got a hang-up about fire, which may have distracted him. Still! That's why I've given the movie 2 stars. :) Vanessa Raney
