Synopsis:
Nominated for five Academy Awards and winner of three, including best score, this adaptation of the Lerner-Lowe musical is a majestic romance set in the days of yore. A great stage musical, turned into an OK movie musical. Richard Harris portrays the legendary King Arthur as a fey, blue-eye shadowed fop, however the rest of the cast performs admirably. Franco Nero is great as is Lionel Jeffries. My one other criticism is the oppressive, unnecessary use of close-ups.
