Horrible!!!!!!!!!! I was so disappointed because it had such great actors. I expected it to be atleast decent with Gwyneth Paltrow, Jake Guillenhal, and Anthony Hopkins, but it was not. It was one of the worst, most boring, ridiculous fims I have ever seen and I have seen lots.

This movie is like sitting through several years of bad math classes, with professors who lecture in monotones, under their breath. In the beginning, one is rooting for Ms. Paltrow, much as one might encourage a stutterer or someone trying to read out loud, who just can't read. One doesn't know whether the writing is bad or whether Gywneth is just a runner-up from a backwoods middle school acting contest or an American Idol wannabee.By the end, however, one is hoping the evil sister or even a chimpanzeee from a third rate university will get the credit for Ms. Paltrow's "proof."Nothing about this character is remotely plausible. She is sad, when she should be happy, phlegmatic when she should be energized, weepy when she should be happy.I was convinced she was an untalented lunatic. She appears to always be in a different movie than everybody else, as if she did her scenes alone and was then dropped in. To be fair, the actual script is probably still being written.

The best movie I've seen in years. A poignant reminder of how systematic dogma quenches intellectual breakthrough and the inextricability of mental plasticity and true genius. There is hope for humanity!
