Synopsis:
A couple leaves the civilized world behind and descends into a living nightmare in this chilling horror thriller. Six months after losing her only child in the Southeast Asia tsunami, Jeanne (Emmanuelle Beart, Mission: Impossible) is convinced she sees him in a film about orphans living in the jungles of Burma. While her husband (Rufus Sewell, TV's "Eleventh Hour" , "John Adams") is worried that she's losing her mind, he agrees to a search mission. Introduced to a dangerous gang of human traffickers, who leave them stranded, the couple descend upon a treacherous jungle and plunge into a supernatural kingdom where the dead never really die.

If you can get past Emmanuelle and her horribly disfigured lips and her character running about like a chicken with it's head cut off (for the entire length of the film), then it's still a pretty bad movie.
Nothing the characters did made any sense at all. She lost her mind (which we find out within the first 10 minutes of the film) and he didn't have the gall to control it and instead enabled her.
Which all led to what? More senseless insanity with no purpose or meaning.Maybe there's a deeper meaning to all of it but I simply didn't get it. It has a couple interesting scenes that stimulated a little thought.
Oh, and adding screetching static behind every scene doesn't add much when there's nothing of relevance occuring.
