Synopsis:
Raising a child in New York City proves daunting for a massage therapist (Diane Lane), especially when the father is miles away in South America conducting field work on the Yanomamo tribe, also known as "fierce people." When a rich family wants to hire her as a personal masseuse, she accepts, thinking it'll shield her teenage son from the troubles of a more pedestrian life. But tragedy soon teaches her that high society is a jungle too.
