Thanks to turn_ip's review I decided to rent this one although I had read many bad reviews over at IMDB. It was definitely worth a look. On the downside: PG-13, minimal psychological horror/suspense. But, on the upside: Great photography, many beautiful shots as well as great Computer-Generated graphics and special effects. A number of unexpected events that generated enough "jolt" to make this a fun movie to watch. Plot is good, nothing too extragvagant. Fair amount of action. It won't give you goose-bumps or nightmares, but if you are a fan of teen-horror movies (minus the gore), sorcery and witchcraft then go ahead. Also, for me, the soundtrack was excellent!!!

I watch so many movies that it is a rare one that makes me sit up and pay total attention. This one got me. Starting with a wild opening complete with Rob Zombie on the soundtrack to the last minute, over the top action scenes at the end. I watched it twice to make sure I didn't miss anything.
