CinemaNow - The Happening

I am a huge Shymalan fan, but this is so ridiculously boring,Real snooze-fest.

blind, (appropriate name, that)...first, you should stop complaining about those "save the environment people", because they can't...the earth will go on, although you won't...so there is no real loss to fear...second, shyamalan hasn't made a decent movie since sixth sense, so you ought to be prepared for trailer doctoring by now...i just got sucked into apaloosa by the cast names alone (another death trap), so i can feel your pain.

The promo's for the movie set a pretty eerie and disturbing plotline/environment.Certainly large groups of people randomly commiting suicide is fodder for a pscyological thriller.Somehow they managed to mess that up.It was something I would expect to see on the Sci Fi channel during Eco friendly Green Week.I am sick of these "save the environment" people, and them shoving it down our throat.More than that I am tired of people taking parts of a movie, then cutting the scenes and showing just a small clip to make it dramatic for comercials.This movie was boring, not gory, not scary, not thought envoking.Everything was obvious.They used a lot of time to accomplish nothing.

What you see in the advertisement's on television is the height of "The Happening" so don't expect this movie to get any more happening."The Happening" makes for a good 90 minute movie with minimal story line but nothing more.If you want to see the biggest blue iris's you have ever seen in the eyes of a beautiful girl that's one treat.I was attracted by the promo and the title. I was greatly disappointed.

Shyamalan did a great job with "The Village" but, really missed the mark on this movie.It wasn't scary at all.The plot was a little predictable.I certainly wasn't surprised by the ending.The main female actress really couldn't act and I think she made the movie a lot worse then it had to be.Definitely, wouldn't recommend.
