a ten year old kid shows up at nicole's door claiming to be the reincarnation of her recently deceased husband...the kid has an intimate knowledge of the most private details of their married life...such as their habit of sharing baths together (he demonstrates)...nicole succumbs to the pressures of accumulating evidence and longing for her lost beloved, and suggests an 8 year timeout before carrying things any further...are they being manipulated by some cosmic quirk...is he a "birth" defect or a transmuted husband with an incongruous addiction to nintendo...is there anything usable here for star trek VIII?i can't say i think birth is worth the wear of watching to find out.
