The main character Tracie experiences different things in her life (lies, deciet, and even a family illness). Tracie, a single mother of a teen-aged son Tyrell has raised her son in a Christian home with the help of her father. Her mother died when she was a teen-ager. Tracie has been struggling with love relationships all of her life. She can never seem to find the right one. Tracie has spent many years with the latest boyfriend Brian, but is he really the one? Or is Mark, her now found friend. Tracie often questions why is it that the people you love are often the ones who hurt you the most.
