Jenny auditions for a master writing class taught by famous author Charlotte Birch, an intimidating artist who initially seems to take a dislike to Jenny and her work. Shane continues her flirtation with production assistant Carmen on the set of a music video but, typically, backs off before getting too close. In the meantime, Shane discerns the growing attraction between Dana and Alice and forces a confession out of the latter.
