Good news! It's time to update the list of organizations that have institutionalized hatred and intolerance. We're all familiar with the KKK, the Skinheads, a myriad of religious fundamentalist groups (the PLO, Al Queda, etc) and various local Militias. Well, now it's time for one more: The Boy Scouts of America. What? The Boy Scouts! C'mon. They help old ladies across the street. Sorry. But, it's true. On this episode of Bullshit, we're turning our wrath on the Boy Scouts of America because they have institutionalized a hatred of gays into their curriculum and insist that boys pledge an allegiance to god, otherwise, they'll be kicked out. Equally shocking: billions of taxpayer dollars are going to support this bigotry and forced religiosity.
