Please ignore the brazenly hypocritical, revisionist conserva-view posted by quintusIX. It is not the "alrmist liberals" who are always talking about Armageddon, the Apocalypse, and earthquakes, floods, volcanoes, asteroids, and plagues as God's wrath on mankind: That would be the conservative fundamentalist, born-again crowd. This movie actually winds up being a scathing, and perhaps telling, indictment of the superwealthy and why global warming and environmental conservation is being ignored in the face of glaring, contradictory empirical evidence and why there is vulgar class warfare in obscene favor of the wealthy on a global scale. This movie is sure to strike an alarming chord not because of the likelihood of so many natural disasters happening all at once, but because of who is likely to survive an extinction event and why. For this reason (and the special effects), this is a good and satisfying movie!
