Synopsis:
To response to acts of delinquency and criminal offenses the US states of Texas, Tennessee, and Missouri have resorted to public humiliation in lew of jail time. The basic idea in quite simple, once they have been arrested, the offenders must choose between jail or public humiliation. The public humiliation can take the form of walking with a sign explaining the reason why you were arrested or having your picture broadcasted on the local television. The supporters site a decrease in the recidivism rate of those offenders, but detractors are not so sure

Very interesting idea and well done documentary.I like the fact that offenders are given a choice and that they all seemed repentant.The detractors make me wonder what crimes they have done, but have not been caught for... a dirty conscience would make someone REALLY not like this system.

It's amazing what some states can do to criminals.They should do this to all of them.Must see!
