Worth renting.Nicholas Cage does really well in these type of roles.I expected the movie to be much more heavy handed with the politics, but I was happily surprised to find a sense of realism to it.You walk away thinking, "Yeah, I can see where you might get sucked into a life of gun running."

A watchable movie, with plenty of flaws. Gage, as always, can carry just about any movie he is in (Thats why they love him in LA). Professionally made, somewhat obvious, entertaining never the less. Just made 4 stars though. Brother sub plot hokey.

a well done "real life" story of a true scandal that goes on daily throughout the world.good acting by cage and the wife, the interpol agent looked like a pinkerton security guard, and the younger brother was really annoying (perhaps that was the point...).i think you have to take this one for the message.

Of course Michael knows exactly how arms dealers work ;) haha In general not the best movie, not much redemption in it that is for sure. That said an interesting moral(s) to this story are (a) sometimes we just get good at doing the wrong thing and its hard to change - this is merely an exageration of that truth (b) all people kind find the most fascinating ways to justify their actions through the lies they tell themselves and (c) to the idiot below who said this is akin to what Bush is doing he should read Charlie Wilson's War to see that the blind thinking of weapons based geopolitics and the sometimes powerfuly effective arm of the CIA is equally the fault of bad thinking and acquience of BOTH political parties...Frankly, its worth watching...

Really bad - extremely unrealistic. As if these arms dealers would travel to the war regions in their planes themselves and store some of their arms containers under the Brooklyn bridge. And then the guy, one of the world's biggest arms dealers, locks one of these containers with a small number lock and his wifes discovers it (she is secretly following him and he - one of the world's most powerful arm's dealers - does not realize it) and opens it by using the DOB of their sun. How rediculous. More stuff to laugh about: Africans take a whole cargo plane apart in one day, Interpol is chasing him with their own fighter jet, he deceives Interpol by simply painting a new name on the ship that is carrying the arms and hiding the weapons below rotten potatoes, etc).

:Quote: "The Love of Money is the Root of All Evil."-"Jessica Anne Galicia Dale"Not exactly... "It is a man's own mind, not his enemy, foe or money, that lures him to evil ways." Other then that the movie is not bad, although there is allot more involved then knowing a few people to sell arms.

i only saw pieces of this movie. but heres what i got to say. DARK. GROSS. EMPTY. Bloodthirsty mixed with heartless stoics. Whining or droning narrator talking about what an idiot he is the entire movie, demoing his futile attitude and philosophy. wow. I rate this a super stinker. what kind of individual enjoys this kind of movie anyway? btw, did i mention, this movie was very very slow.

Just one of many basic instruction manuals used by the Bush crime syndicate every day.

Just when I think Nicholas Cage is lousy, a film like Leaving Las Vegas or this comes along. This film will chill you to the bone, the mundane, graceful loping of evil, a Liberian gazelle. It contains all the comfortable, easy rationalizations.A bullet through the head (someone else's)just goes with afternoon tea.The ending gave me insomnia for two days, but I can again clean my rifles and 357 Magnum, praising the Second Amendment all the while.
