Excellent film. The story is reported to be based on true events.Once again, Tommy Lee Jones delivers the kind of role that has made him famous. Why he or this film wasn't mentioned for an Oscar simply leaves me to believe it was anti-war related.I kept waiting for the director to infuse the film with anti-war rhetoric, but it did not come.I admire the guy for that.I wasn't thrilled to see Susan Sarandon in the film, but I managed to survive.Charlese Theron was amazingly convincing in her role as the police detective. The director went a little overboard on the sexism and racial issues, but in all honesty he was dead on in a strange way.If you like Jones, this is your film.I highly recommend it.
