Synopsis:
In Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, the iconic creatures from two of the scariest film franchises in movie history wage their most brutal battle ever — in our own backyard. The small town of Gunnison, Colorado becomes a war zone between two of the deadliest extra-terrestrial life forms - the Alien and the Predator. When a Predator scout ship crash-lands in the hills outside the town, Alien Facehuggers and a hybrid Alien/Predator are released and begin to terrorize the town.

CRITIC REVIEWS
LEW IRWIN
Only a handful of critics managed to get a look at Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem before it opened Tuesday. And they savaged it. Among seven online reviews tracked by the Rotten Tomatoes website six were negative. "A dull actioner that looks like a bad video game," was the way Kirk Honeycutt in the Hollywood Reporter referred to it. On the other hand, Neil Genzlinger in the New York Times (the only major newspaper to publish a review of it) concludes, "It may not be classic sci-fi like the original Alien, which it has in its DNA, but it's a perfectly respectable next step in the series."

Not bad, but more like a made for TV movie.

TURN ON THE LIGHTS! I know everything Scary is supposed to happen in the dark, but; with todays technology we should at least be able to "Watch"!

Absolutely dreadful. When they turned on the cameras, they forgot to turn on the lights, meaning that all you get to see is gleaming, slimy shapes twisting around in the dark. The movie makes little sense and adds nothing to a once proud set of scary monster movies.

first of all, if gunnison is ever annihilated by aliens, it will be years before anyone notices...secondly, someone decided it would be atmospheric to light the movie at about 25 candle power or so, using actual birthday candles...which means that you can watch it, but don't expect to see it...finally, most of the dialogue consists of aarrrggghhhh, which is about all the actors are capable of anyway...action is more or less continuous, in lieu of a plot, in this latest, limp, predator dominated sequel, and its solitary source of mojo.
