stereotypic rapacious invaders (us) seek to colonize a lush planet peopled with giant blue natives who live in tribes, which, not unlike our own, happen to be armed to the teeth...and once again the myth of the noble wildman living in perfect synchrony with his natural suroundings gets a reprise...no such noble savage has ever, to my knowledge, existed....but the idea gets a treatment equally as disarming as it is absurd...as an imaginative fable a makes a charming if jejune morality tale....cinematically it is quite delightful.

... Cameron's best. Fiction yes, entertainment ditto, but good point overall, we're living on sacred ground so why destroy what little we have left on this planet to eat, drink, enjoy the view - not a question, plain fact.
