Synopsis:
On a luxurious ocean liner, a nightclub singer tries to help a fellow American woo an English heiress who is returning home to marry a man she doesn't love. In an attempt to elude his boss, the American disguises himself as a gangster traveling with a minister. But, in reality, the minister is an actual gangster on the lam. Adapted for television by Herb Baker, this spectacular tale of jazz age madness originally aired on NBC's Colgate Comedy Hour February 28, 1954. Featuring the TV acting debuts of Frank Sinatra and Ethel Merman, this long-lost treasure is highlighted by rousing performances of the timeless Cole Porter standards ?Anything Goes,? ?You're The Top? and "I Get a Kick Out of You."
