so david is back...he is a scientist who tracks the collapse of the biosphere from canada, and these documentaries are among the varying futile gestures he makes to restore it...i try to tell him this is the time to be composing a final farewell, conjoined with a timecapsule that will withstand the passage of hundreds of millions of years...THOSE would be appropriate pursuits...also there is still time to make this extinction a reallly INTERESTING, even an AESTHETIC one, but there's no swaying him...his science is sound and he has a certain modest entertainment value...but i am so TIRED of this voice in the wilderness thing...ciao.
