Ponderous; slow-moving. About 20 minutes of story grafted on to 2 plus hours of religiousity. The whole production is to lead up to a papal edict in which the Pope declares the Church will turn over all its wealth to feed the poor -- specifically in the movie, starving Chinese.Whatever one thinks of that idea, it really shouldn't take 2 1/2 hours to get to it.
