As far as the critics are concerned, the laughs don't come much cheaper than those offered up in the new Steve Martin-Bonnie Hunt move Cheaper By the Dozen. Reviewing the movie in the Los Angeles Times, Kevin Thomas calls it as synthetic as a plastic Christmas tree.
