Synopsis:
Down on his luck after losing his job and his girlfriend on the same day, Larry decides to join his neighbor, Bill and his combat-happy buddy, Everett, for a relaxing weekend of drinking and target practice. But when the three hapless guys are mistaken for Army Reservists they're loaded onto an army plane headed for Fallujah, Iraq - and mistakenly ejected in a Humvee somewhere over Mexico. Convinced they're actually in the Middle East, the clueless wannabe soldiers lay down their beers and take up their arms to save a rural village - and prove they just might be heroes after all...

There're idiot buddy comedies that are funny because they're so stupid, and then there are idiot buddy comedies that are just stupid. The bits seemed tired and like the director was leaving you a little time at the end of each joke to laugh, but when it wasn't funny, you were just stuck there watching a heap of boring. Also, a lot of the jokes put out by Larry the Cable Guy's character "Larry" felt pretty racist against people of Middle Eastern heritage. Maybe that language is really being used on the front, and I can understand that when you're on the front lines your enemy has to have a name, and if it was a nice one, they probably wouldn't be your enemy, but this didn't really feel like it was a stage for social commentary, rather than an inside joke for the good ole' boys in the South.
