Synopsis:
Set in 1984 on the streets of Manhattan's lower east side, JEFFREY ARSENAULT's gritty, guerrilla-style debutfeature, NIGHT OWL, is a nightmarish tale of urban vampires. JOHN LEGUIZAMO stars as Angel, a young manon a desperate search for his missing sister Zohra (KAREN WEXLER). Unknown to Angel, Zohra has fallen victimto Jake (JAMES RAFTERY), a vampire who picks up girls in bars to quench his thirst for blood. However, whenJake meets performance artist Anne Guish (ALI THOMAS), his interest in her makes him fear his own nature.Finally, Angel closes in on the predator, and their inevitable confrontation brings dire consequences.

I found the film hard to watch. The characters just didn't interest me. Even the vampire character was not particularly compelling. The story and general idea were ok, but not nearly enough to save this one. One star.

Ineresting to see John Leguizamo in an early role.Also an interesting interpretationof the vampire theme.The gritty look adds to the feeling of hopelessness. It gets a third star for it's effort, but it is a flawed work

Leguizamo must have done this Movie for free tacos back when he was starving !its a real stinker

Everyone who acted in this movie played their parts with no grandstanding it was almost like reading a book the director didn't waste anytime spewing self serving details you either get the legends or you don't. A very ballsy project, I real must for fans of Vlad.
