Q: How large is a movie file?
A: Our Premium movie files are encoded between 1200K and 1500K.
Q: How much space do I need on my computer to store the file?
A: You will need around 1.5Gs of free space on your hard drive for a Premium file. For tips on how to check your free space, visit
customer support.
Q: How long does it take to download a music video?
A: With a fast connection (DSL, Cable Modem or better) a DVD quality Premium (1200k-1500k file) will typically take an hour to an hour and a half. This can vary depending on your connection speed. Don't want to wait? Our progressive download feature allows you to start watching in as little as 30 seconds.
Q: What are the minimal technical requirements?
A: In order to make full use of CinemaNow and be able to watch and purchase all of our different files and products you will need:
- Internet Explorer 6.0
or Firefox 2.0
- Windows XP
- Windows Media Player 10
- A 300K or better Internet connection: we recommend a cable or DSL connection.
Please also note that you might be able to watch some files using Windows Media Player 9 and older operating systems such as Windows 2000 or ME, but we no longer support, test or recommend our products for use with these operating systems or players.
