Q: Which videos are available?
A: CinemaNow works with independent filmmakers and content providers to bring you a large selection of videos that are exclusive to subscription members. Check out everything from Concerts
and ABC News Programming to Classic TV Shows.
Q: How large is a file?
A: Our Standard subscription movies are encoded at 700K. Many subscription videos are available in 300K or 700K streams as well for instant access.
Q: Can I view in Full Screen?
A: Yes, our Streaming Player allows you to
adjust the video size while video is playing, you can go from our standard screen
size to full screen at the click of a button, or keep it small and do other work
while you are watching.
Q: How much space do I need on my computer to store the file?
A: You will need around 0.8 GB of free space on your hard drive for a standard file. For tips on how to check your free space, please visit
customer support.
Q: How long does it take to download a video?
A: With a fast connection (DSL, Cable Modem or better) a standard quality (700K-1000K file) will typically take 30 mins to one hour to fully download. This can vary depending on your connection speed. Don't want to wait? Our progressive download feature allows you to start watching in as little as 30 seconds.
Q: What are the minimal technical requirements?
A: In order to make full use of CinemaNow and be able to watch and purchase all of our different files and products you will need:
- Internet Explorer 6.0
or Firefox 2.0
- Windows XP
- Windows Media Player 10
- A 300K or better Internet connection: we recommend a cable or DSL connection.
Please also note that you might be able to watch some files using Windows Media Player 9 and older operating systems such as Windows 2000 or ME, but we no longer support, test or recommend our products for use with these operating systems or players.
Q: Can I burn these movies to DVD?
A: Only videos in the
Burn To DVD section can be burned and played in a standard DVD player. Please see the
Burn To DVD How it Works for more details. For all other CinemaNow videos, your DVD player will not be able to read the information properly since we use a special security protection. For info on other ways to watch videos in this section on your TV,

Q: How do I watch these videos on my TV?

Q: Why can I buy some movies and rent others? Why can't I burn these movies?

Q: Can I transfer movies to my video iPod, PSP or other portable player?
A: At this time, CinemaNow movies are not available for the iPod or PSP, however we are working with our content providers to expand the options you have.
