Synopsis:
John and Jane Smith are an ordinary suburban couple with an ordinary, lifeless suburban marriage. But each is hiding something the other would kill to know: Mr. and Mrs. Smith are actually highly paid, incredibly efficient assassins, and they work for competing organizations.Mr. and Mrs. Smith discover a new source of excitement in their marriage, when they're hired to assassinate each otherand that's when the real fun starts. The result is the ultimate action spectacle, as Mr. and Mrs. Smith put their formidable skills to work and their marriage to the ultimate test. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie star in MR. AND MRS. SMITH, a sexy action adventure, filled with globetrotting action, state-of-the-art special effects and incredible stunts. It's also a comedy with extraordinary characters having some ordinary problems.

CRITIC REVIEWS

There's hardly a review of Mr. & Mrs. Smith that doesn't mention the chemistry between Brad Pitt an Angelina Jolie. Roger Ebert in the Chicago Sun-Times argues that it's all important to the movie. I think they have it, he writes, and because they do, the movie works. If they did not, there'd be nothing to work with. Bob Strauss in the Los Angeles Daily News argues that their visual appeal and edgy chemistry salvage a number of scenes that would otherwise simply collapse from the weight of their own preposterousness. Claudia Puig in USA Today comments that the The best moments in the action-packed romantic comedy are when the couple exhibit their considerable chemistry. Gene Seymour in Newsday writes that the stars' on-screen chemistry, even at moderate boil, is so combustible that you're tempted to put warning stickers on every frame they share. But the headline over Eleanor Ringel Gillespie's review in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reads, The stars have chemistry, the script doesn't.

Loved it! Brad gives this little boy quality to his character which is a great mixture of him being fun and irresponsible. He can be an ultra-cool hitman who becomes sweet and stubborn (almost pouting) as he struggles with the truth about his love for his wife and her's for him -- sweet, kind of boyish.Angelina was fantastic, powerful emotionally and physically. Definitely felt the chemistry and the fun between the two of them. The only scenes that felt stiff were the ones between Brad and Vince, but Vince always steal scenes when he is doing his thing.I was not watching it for the special effects/fight scenes, but was entertained throughout the movie.Felt like an introduction to the characters, would love to see another story about them.
