There was a dark time in the early north america. This film captures the primative north east. The photography is pretty enough for prints. I have watched the movie three times. It was so real that you expected Natty Bumpo to be in the credits.Dr Ted

i have taken rlong's criticism to heart, and browsed no less than 40 reviews, all prepared by pros...apparently he read the 3 favorable ones...i don't disapprove of anyone enjoying any movie that is not malicious, and i'm glad he managed to do so...the thing is still a dog.

Very well done movie. Before I rented it I read the reviews and I guess the one wannabe critic did not know action. This is one hell of an action movie with an original story that deserves a good review.Well done.

outsize vikings, welded into bionicle armor, rampage through an idyllic, decorous indian village, so steeped in innocence that it makes the uss enterprise look like sodom...the usual vengeance ensues, with gore starring in lieu of actors (however, as ms. bloodgood is usually confined to brief utterances such as "don't go", and "eek!", she has little scope for performance)...cinema, surprisingly, is excelent.

Visually stunning, but unfortunately fails as a story. ***SPOILER*** Essentially, you have a viking boy who is taken in by a native American tribe. Later, as an adult, he leads them in a fight against a band of Viking marauders destroying every village in their path. The problem is that it's not all that clear why the evil Vikings are doing this. It would make sense if it was to plunder the villages, but they not only kill every savage they find, but they burn and destroy everything in signt. So it's a bit overdone and not too well thought out when it comes to a story. The chararcters are also very non-dimensional almost to the point of nausia. A+ for production, set, and even casting. "Fail" when it comes to story writing and direction.

Great looking, however terrible acting and an overused plotline sells what could have been an excellent film far short of the bar it sets for itself. I couldn't even finish it!
