Synopsis:
Now, for the first time, Sergio Leone's original uncut version of this monumental epic can be seen. The picture itself is as big as its Monument Valley locations, as grand as its fine, distinguished cast, as tough and bawdy as every kid imagines the Old West. Henry Fonda plays the blackest character of his long career, and he's utterly convincing as Frank, the ruthless murderous psychopath who suffers no conscience pangs after annihilating an entire family. Jason Robards is the half-breed falsely accused of the terrible slaughter. Charles Bronson plays The Man, who remembers how his brother was savagely tortured. Brilliantly directed by Sergio Leone, this glorious picture re-established the Western'' significance to cinema art."

i rate this a 2 although it could easily be a 1 star. Charles bronson has been in many tough guy roles that trump this. I tried this one because someone else gave it five stars. it was sort of interesting at first. the bad guys were definitely drawn up in interesting fashion. but then it started to drag. and drag and freaking drag! i could hardly keep my eyes open but i spent my darned 2 bucks and invested this much, surely it will end soon. but it didnt. finally it did and the end was so weak made me wonder if the other reviewer was having some fun with the rest of the world. i say wait for them to remake this one. Then skip that one too. :)

this one's a classic.the only one to my knowledge that bronson was expected to carry, although he does receive some help from a couple of lesser lights named jason robards, and henry fonda.
