Synopsis:
FBI agent Jack Crawford (Jason Statham) is obsessed with avenging the murder of his partner by the notorious assassin known only as Rogue (Jet Li). Jack’s persistence pays off but leads him into a newly ignited war between rival Asian gangs. As Rogue manipulates the situation, Jack’s true colors and wrath come to life. The true war is between two rivals who think they stand for good and evil.

"War" was not shown to U.S. film critics. But Toronto-based Lionsgate, the studio that is releasing it, did show it to critics in Canada. (Most of it was shot in Vancouver.) Their reviews show why the film was held back from critics on this side of the border. "An irrelevant, joyless bore," is the way Jason McBride describes it in the Toronto Globe and Mail. On the other hand Rob Salem in the Toronto Star acknowledges that while the story is "complicated," and even sometimes "deliberately unclear," it's not worth trying to figure out. "How much do these things really matter in this sort of escapist enterprise?" he asks.

Ugh, Most of their movies are filled with action, Transporter, II, Crank, One, and even the "epic" martial arts types jet liwas in.I expected a movie called War about a renegade assasin of all things, that involves Both these guys to blow my mind.This has to be the most low key action movie for either of them.Big dissapointment.Also predictable.The other guy said it didn't make sense at the end.I've seen a movie that takes the same turn.It's a good movie, but dont get your hopes up for a non stop action movie.only 2 stars simply becuase of it being so missleading.

This was a very well done action movie all the way up until the very end, which when you see it, you will probably agree, makes no sense at all and was a rush finish if you ask me.It's a shame because it was a great movie besides that.

lame to new levels.i did not know Jason Statham could suck.i guess we can allow "handsome rob" one bad movie.rent it if you have seen everything else.
