This is one of the worst movies I have ever seen in my life.Basically the main character is mentally challenged, but everyone in the movie thinks he is some kind of genius. It becomes insulting to the audience when one character after another refuses to recognize him for what he is.The movie goes like this: mentally-feeble man meets a new person, new person asks a normal question, man responds with childish inanity about something completely off-topic, questioner stares back in wide-eyed amazement.Later, everyone talks behind his back about how profound and ingenius he is.Seriously, this movie is an insult to any intelligent audience.I hate everyone involved in making it.

takes one of kosinski's principle themes, that being the continuing and unequal warfare between human beings and fate, and pursues it along the lines of his wonderful novella.usually destructive, in this one instance fate plays a joke on expectations by exalting a harmless and helpless imbecile to heights of power.of course, harmless or otherwise, imbeciles are not infrequently found joined to power, which is why i cannot resist pointing out how topical this has become for me.

This movie is nothing short of amazing. It's packed with dry wit and enough symbolism to appease any english lit professor. If you're looking for action, you're barking up the wrong tree-- this is truly a classic.

The most funny movie Peter Sellers has ever made!It holds a lot of truth on how people pre-judge or assume just what is in a person's heart and soul!It was well written and has an extra great cast!I consider it a classic!"Take a Chance on this movie"!"KLWard!
