Synopsis:
When Nancy learns that her check has bounced for Shane's karate lessons, she pays in cash, while at home she struggles to pay bills the same way. Meanwhile, teenage son Silas is upset because his girlfriend has been sent away to a Mexican reform school by her mother Celia. Silas thinks his girlfriend didn't say goodbye because the phone has been disconnected for lack of payment. Nancy meets with Doug Wilson, her accountant, and regular pot customer, who suggests she establish a cover business to launder her drug money and at the same time he orders a big stash from her for his regular five-man poker game. In the kitchen of her potsupplier, Heylia, along with Conrad and Vaneeta, Nancy requests weed on credit but Heylia wants collateral andtakes her Range Rover. Nancy returns home to find Shane watching old family videos of his dead father, while she also attempts to comfort Silas, who's broken hearted. When Shane takes a fall, Nancy can't dial 911 from her shut-off phone, and they race to the hospital. In the emergency room, the boys watch their mother, who has no insurance, pay in cash again. At Heylia's, Nancy isonce again forced to ask for more weed on credit and, as collateral, Heylia takes Nancy's cherished wedding ring. Meanwhile, Celia confronts Helen Chin, the club tennis pro who has been giving Celia's husband Dean more than just tennis lessons.
