At the Bauer house, Jovan watches from the bushes as Parslow helps Teri find a hidden key. When they enter, the burglar alarm goes off, and Teri can't remember the code to shut it off. Near the Chinese restaurant, after Nina tells Jack that the man Teddy just shot was a Saugus power company worker named Alan Morgan, Jack asks Nina to check out the grid coordinate he spoke of: 26 double G. Meanwhile, a guard from the alarm company arrives at the Bauer house, and when he sees photos of Teri and Jack on the walls, he realizes she isn't an intruder and resets the alarm. As Teri studies the photos of her family, still not remembering much, Parslow suggests they call the police, but Teri begs him not to, so he calls an old friend of his, Chris, who used to be a bodyguard.At Rick's house, Frank gets nervous when Dan doesn't show up with Gaines' money, and Kim tries once again to leave, but Melanie won't let her. Finally, Kim tells Frank that Dan is dead, and Frank blows up, threatening to kill Rick. Finally, Rick convinces Frank that he wasn't responsible for Dan's death, and admits Gaines never paid them, so there's no money for Frank's impending drug deal. Back at the Chinese restaurant, Mason arrives, furious that Morgan has been killed. Jack gets a call from Palmer, who says he's just learned from his Pentagon sources that a file on Victor Drazen, the terrorist Jack killed in Serbia, showed an address in Saugus. Jack calls Milo, who confirms the address Palmer supplied is in the middle of power grid 26 double G, so Jack and Mason decide to go check it out.Back at the Bauer house, Parslow fills in more details of Teri's marriage, and she realizes from the ease she feels with him that she must have felt a strong connection to him, even though their relationship ended before it got serious. Meanwhile, at the hotel, the Palmer family eats dinner, and Sherry scolds Palmer and Keith for wanting to risk everything they've worked for by going public with their dirty laundry. As they argue, however, Nicole, whose rape several years ago started it all, can't stand the pressure and faints.Back at Rick's house, Kim tries once again to get away, but then Frank's friends, Craig and Peter, arrive with a bag full of guns. Frank says that if he can't pay for the drugs, he's going to take them by force. As Jack and Mason drive to Saugus, Nina reports that the land they're heading for is owned by the government and designated as a nature preserve. After the call, Jack finishes explaining to Mason that the whole plot against Jack and Palmer seems to be an attempt by Victor Drazen's sons, Andre and Alexis, to avenge their father's death. Back at the Bauer house, Teri goes through her appointment book, trying to jog her memory, and Parslow's friend, Chris, arrives. Teri freaks out when she sees Chris has a gun, and he finally agrees to leave it in his car.At the hotel, Palmer prepares for his press conference, with Sherry's help, and assures Novick that he's not backing out of the election. Finally, Palmer takes the stage and begins telling his story to an eager press corps. In another room, Carl watches the televised event with some fat cat campaign supporters, Jorgenson and Tuttle, but when Carl offers to “solve the problem,” Jorgenson says it's too late. Palmer finishes his speech with his family at his side, and begins to take questions from the reporters. Meanwhile, Nina returns to the CTU and learns about the safe house attack. She demands to know why Tony didn't tell her earlier, but he insists his hands were tied by Mason, who's also her boss. A few minutes later, as Jack and Mason arrive in Saugus, Nina calls Mason and demands that he tell Jack about the safe house attack. Mason refuses, so Nina calls Jack's cell phone, but Mason grabs the phone and secretly turns it off.At Rick's house, the drug dealers, Sam and Max, arrive. Frank asks Sam for the drugs, and when Sam asks Frank for the money, Frank plops a bag in front of Sam. Before Sam can take it, Frank pulls out a gun, and his buddies - Craig, Peter, and David - appear, armed as well. Sam and Max draw their own weapons, but after a tense standoff, they drop them, and while Frank's friends collect the guns, Frank slaps Rick for getting them into this mess. Next, Frank head-butts Sam, breaking his nose. Instead of striking back, Sam says that Frank is under arrest... and a SWAT team bursts in, arresting everyone, including Kim, who's now in tears.Back at the hotel, as Palmer finishes taking questions from the reporters, two federal agents enter the fat cats' suite, flashing their badges. Downstairs, as Palmer leaves the stage, he and Keith embrace, and Novick predicts Palmer's candor will actually carry the election. Meanwhile, in Saugus, Jack and Mason find only vacant land, but Jack also notices some high-voltage power lines that must be feeding something, and they see a helicopter circling above, watching them. Back at the Bauer house, as Parslow goes to make some tea, Jovan sneaks into the house. Teri tackles him before he can hurt her, and Parslow comes running back. Jovan goes for his gun, but then another shot rings out, Parslow is hit in the head, and Chris appears at the door. Then, as Teri falls into Parslow's arms, suddenly remembering the car accident and what she still presumes to be Kim's death, we see Kim being loaded, with Rick, Melanie, and Frank, into a patrol wagon.
