Synopsis:
When the choppers touch down at the CTU, they're greeted by Nina and Green. Jack thanks Nina for her help, then sends Teri and Kim off to a clinic in an ambulance while Green places Jack under arrest. At the hotel, Palmer tells Sherry he's dropping his inquiries into Ferragamo's death because Carl has threatened to frame Keith for the crime. At the clinic, Teri tells a doctor, Dr. Kent, about her rape, and Kent suggests an ultrasound to diagnose Teri's abdominal pain. At the CTU, Nina asks Green's permission to check on Teri, as Jack requested, and Green agrees to let her go.Next, Green checks in with Tony, who says he's learned three more assassins have arrived from the Balkans. Two of them, Jovan Myovic and Mishko Suba, landed in Florida three days earlier, but he doesn't yet know anything about the third one, Alexis Mecir... who we then see hiding in the brush near a secluded house. Kevin stands outside the house, and Alexis watches as Kevin talks on a cell phone to Drazen. Fearing for his life, Kevin tells Drazen that Gaines is dead and insists he can get the operation back on track. Drazen says “Plan B” is already in effect, and hangs up. At that point, Alexis hits a detonator and the house blows up. Kevin is knocked down, and Alexis asks if he removed anything from Gaines' compound. Kevin says no, and Alexis shoots him in the head.At the hotel, Keith overhears Palmer talking to Novick about Ferragamo, and asks what happened. Palmer tells him Ferragamo died in a fire, and Keith figures out Ferragamo must have leaked the information about him being present at the rapist's death. Palmer tells him they can keep it quiet, but Keith, who again says he didn't kill the rapist, insists that if Ferragamo was murdered, they should report it. Palmer asks for some time to dig into it further, but promises that if they do confirm Ferragamo was murdered, he'll report it.Meanwhile, in a CTU interrogation room, Regional Director Ryan Chappelle turns on some recording equipment and Jack prepares to answer his questions. At the clinic, Nina finds Teri and Kim, and Teri thanks her for her help. Nina tells them Jack is being interrogated, and says they'll probably be taken to the CTU safe house until further decisions are made. As Nina leaves the room, she goes to look for a man she ran into on the way in, who identified himself as an FBI agent. When she asks another agent about the man, she learns he wasn't really an agent, and alerts the others to the impostor's presence.As Nina calls Tony and tells him about the impostor, Jack finishes telling his story to Chappelle, who insists Jack broke too many rules to be reinstated. Chappelle says he's turning the case over to the Justice Department, but when Jack protests, Chappelle agrees to ask Green if Jack can continue to help out. As Chappelle leaves, Nina calls Jack and asks if there could be another CTU insider in on the Palmer plot. Jack says it's possible, so she orders the CTU operatives at the hospital to fingerprint a phone she saw the impostor use. Meanwhile, Tony and Milo tell Green about the three new assassins, and Green urges Tony not to protect Jack in any way when Chappelle questions him (hinting that if Tony complies, he could win a promotion). Back at Palmer's hotel, Keith tells Sherry he can't keep quiet about Ferragamo's death, and says he's going to the police, but she orders him not to. Then Palmer announces they're being moved to Nellis Air Force Base, in Nevada, because of the threats on his life. Back at the CTU, Jack tells Green to dig into a government database on Balkan terrorists, because the assassination plot was financed by Ted Coffell, who had connections in the Balkans. Meanwhile, as Palmer, Keith, and Sherry ride a limo to the airport, Novick tells Palmer that he's checked on Jack and learned he was the sole survivor of the “Kopec mission” three years earlier, which leads Palmer to conclude that Jack may be seeking revenge on Palmer for loss of his team in that mission.Meanwhile, Tony calls Nina to say they couldn't identify any prints from the telephone, but she still feels something is very deeply amiss. Nina calls Green and asks permission to move Teri and Kim to the safe house, and Green agrees. Tony goes in to talk to Chappelle, but says that although he doesn't like Jack, he also doesn't disapprove of a single move Jack made. Meanwhile, at the clinic, the impostor agent, Joe Ragey, silences his gun and watches the real FBI agents stationed in the hallway. In an exam room, Dr. Kent tells Teri she has a ruptured ovarian cyst, and says she'd like to run a pregnancy test. Then Nina enters, saying they have to leave right away, and the doctor gives Teri a home pregnancy test to take along. As Teri, Nina, and Kim leave the clinic, Joe watches, then calls someone on a cell phone to tell them what kind of car Nina's driving.Back at Palmer's hotel, one of his aides, Elizabeth, packs a bag and gives it to another aide, Patty, asking her to bring it to Sherry. Then Elizabeth takes an elevator to another floor, where the assassin Alexis greets her with a kiss. At that moment, Palmer enters the CTU and tells Tony he's come to see Jack.
