Don't be fooled: "Population 436" isn't a horror movie. It's motivated by religious puritanism, but in the end, it confirms it as such by making the suggestion of the impossible real. In worlds like this, free will can be endemic; as a disease, it must be cured, or the town loses. So if it happens that control is possible through brainwashing, that's what you get; it's science meet religion. Aren't we already talking about perfecting babies in the womb? It's that concept, but in "Population 436," the result, when anarchy threatens the town, is to erase free will in those caught within "the fever." :) Vanessa Raney

Obviously 'eccedaxdux' spends too much time trying to look important by using the dictionary next to them and has absolutely little comprehensive skills! I suppose this film was just too deep for him/her or to vile in some immature way. This is a perfectly good flick and I only gave it a 5 instead of a -4 to offset the injustice that'eccedaxdux' wrote.....

tales from the crypt grade, but less coherent, with the obligatory supermorbid ending (telegraphed from light years).disturbingly amoral, as that ending seems to endorse the atrocities ofthe story.an antilogical hash of subplots, sustaining roughly the tension of a soaked noodle, which distil to a pretty mindless knockoff of the stepford wives.save your vision for Lovecraft, if the attraction of a revolting thrill is your taste of the hour.

This was an interesting movie to watch. I don't think it had nearly the continuity that "The Village" had, The acting was good... I can think of other comments, but I don't want to spoil for anyone.... but I definitely think it left a lot of questions unanswered, that would have made the movie better if they would have been answered in the end.

Good Film to watch...somewhat of a mixture of The Village and a twist of twilight zone..above average film
