Synopsis:
JoaquÍn CortÉs, the Spanish Flamenco dancing sensation, is filmed for the first time ever in his highly acclaimed solo show, 'Joaquin Cortes Live'. JoaquÍn CortÉs -Live at the Royal Albert Hall , brings the drama and passion of one of the most dynamic dancers of our time to a TV audience through fabulous close ups and a series of brief interviews, in which CortÉs explains the inspiration behind his eclectic music and dance routines. His dance pays homage to flamenco jondo, whilst capturing the infectious bulerias, light-hearted tangos and spirit of Old Havana. This combines with a symphony of sound performed by 18 superb musicians who create a fusion of classical, Arabic, Sefardi, Jewish, Afro-cuban, jazz, gospel and of course, the star of the show, flamenco.
