I watch a lot of movies, and as a general rule I do not partake in doing any reviews. However, this movie warrants comment...stunningly brilliant, intense, moving...incredible writing, directing, acting and editing...a true work of art!

Stunning film! Not sure why Toni Collette is listed as starring role as she has relatively short screen time, though she did do a fabulous job nonetheless.

A wonderfully strange and entrancing film of the beauty of the meekness of a splendid woman young at heart and deep of soul.

Powerful story of affirmation of self and survival of spirit. Excellent.

I enjoyed this story. It isn't a "fast-paced" movie so if that is what you are looking for forget it. I think Ruth Cracknell is fantastic in this part.Anyone who can recite lines of Shakespeare like she has in this movie has my vote! This is a sad yet somehow uplifting story of a young girl put in an institution by her father and there she lived for 40 years until the day she does get out. There are flashbacks to her younger days that explain a lot.I liked Toni Collette too, she is the reason I downloaded the movie, I have seen her in several movies and she can play a variety of roles.I thought she was very good. The would be considered a "chic flic" so guys probably won't like it much.
