Synopsis:
Similar to films such as LOCK, STOCK, AND 2 SMOKING BARRELS and SEXY BEAST, British director Matthew Sunderland's DRAINING LIZARDS fashions a fast-paced, comedic mix of martial-arts action and bumbling criminals in the London underworld. Two wannabe burglars set off on their first job, but the valuable object they steal causes more trouble for them than they ever could have imagined. Soon after the theft, every lowlife in the city chases after them, including Chinese gangs, cockney crime lords, and averagely ruthless crooks of every variety. Mix in an ancient curse with the nonstop beatings and interrogations, and this film provides the best of new British film noir.
