Synopsis:
Country living doesn't turn out quite like this dyfunctional family had hoped for in this riotous black comedy from Kim Ji-woon (A TALE OF TWO SISTERS)! When the Kang family opens a mountain lodge, their ambitions for establishing a haven of calm are soon dashed by the death of their first guest. The family decides to bury the body to avoid damaging the new hotel's reputation, but before long they're welcoming more guests, who also end up dying one by one. When the local council starts work on a road which happens to cross the path of the lodge's makeshift burial ground for the deceased guests, the family must find a quick way to dispose of the corpses quietly and without a trace! With a superb cast that includes Choi Min-sik from OLDBOY, THE QUIET FAMILY is a macabre comedy that straddles the very fine line between horror and humor.
