The innovative mixed-media work of Iannis Xenakis is presented here. Composed in the late-1970s, this piece was especially commissioned to commemorate the opening of the Pompidou Centre in Paris. Designed to be played in a specially built room--which Xenakis conceived himself--the music was played over a three month stretch as the Pompidou opened its doors to the public for the first time. An impressive piece of work that illustrates Xenakis's unique contributions to the art and music worlds, this is a great way to experience the unique, singular vision of the now sadly deceased composer.
